Yeah, i trust her completely...she does some great work...took pics all around on my bike and just emailed them over. She'll do something up and we'll see what happens! I'm only paying cost for them so can always get more down the road :)

nice!!! I'd be down to do another one...not sure what i'd wanna do...

I pick up the CRF250 and YZ125 either this weekend or next weekend - they're all done so i'll just clean them up. Not sure what i'd do another restoration on...doing a matching 125 for my KX would be cool, though.

Not sure which bike i'm going to sell...i think i'm going to sell the CRF once i get it back here to Denver. Will keep my KX250 and have the gf ride the YZ125...that way i've got the one i just built and they're both 2 strokes. Who knows.

Haha, wouldnt be gopro worthy...i'm not going to go crazy this saturday. Just going to do more of a break-in with it since i no longer own any dirt gear and my stuff doesnt come in until next week i believe...

Looking forward to it...still nervous to ride it haha. It kicked over like a beast the first day and rode great when i took out for brief little rides - hoping those rings are seated nice and everything works lol. I'd hate to seize it.

I would do a couple more heat cycles while you are out.  Better safe than sorry.
Perhaps I have a dirt bike addiction?

I ran mine easy for the 1st tank....after that I let her rip.
It's been 5 years, still on the same top end, besides two re-rings in that 5 years.

I'm not much of a rain rider anymore either...back in my teens and 20's it never bothered me...nowadays I like a nice cloudy to partly sunny day.

yeah - i'm a fair weather rider on my R6 for sure haha. The place i was going to take the KX is super woody and a lot of elevation change so might as well just wait for a nice cool sunny day!

i'll be picking up the CRF250 and YZ125 in about 2.5 weeks as well so maybe have a friend join me

Found this "late" into your rebuild.

I love these threads....it's like binge watching Breaking Bad or Game of Thrones without having to wait week after week for the progress. I read the entire thing in about 20 minutes.
 8-)

Any updates for graphics and such?

hahaha, i completely agree...i love reading through build threads. I always hate reading them when they're first posted because i always get impatient waiting for new stuff!

The graphics should be ready next week...she had quite a few orders come in by some sponsored riders and since i'm only paying for cost i told her to get those done first, my KX isnt going anywhere right now haha. So, should have those ready in a week. I told her to not show anything to me - i'm just going to show up and she'll install them for me and then i'll get to see them :)

As a little update on the other bikes...picked them up last weekend. The CRF250R was pretty much all set and just needed a little maintenance stuff (cleaned the air filter, greased the bearings, greased the axles, and that was it)

The yz125 needed a little more love - greased the bearings, greased the axles, bled the brakes, fluid change, new gas tank (went with a 3.6 gallon), cleaned the carb, recovered the seat, new air filter, new plug, and new countershaft seal. Did that over the last week and fired it up friday evening - that thing RIPS.

The new main jets for the YZ and the KX came in today - so, will do those this weekend. Both have stock main jets in and i'm sitting at 5k feet so figured i'd get that dialed in.

Hoping to have the pics of the KX up soon with the graphics on it!

Including myself haha
I completely trust her with her graphics and designs so i'm not worried - very excited to see how it all turns out.

She should have them done next week and then i'll throw the bike in the truck and head over there - she'll install them for me in about 20 minutes and then i'll bring it back down and snap some pics!

Going to rejet the KX and the YZ tonight
