Im trying to figure out the same thing... :?  I have just about everything I need except my 17mm drill bit which is a pain in the butt to find!!!

I've done several and have used the 99-02 KX 250 airboot, you still have to make a adapter ring but it seems to fit pretty well. There are some companies that are making a whole intake system that uses a filter that clamps onto a ring, it replaces the whole stock system that looks like it may work. SH uses the CR250 I believe.

you can use a 11/16 or a 43/64ths bit cant remember which one is a scosh of 17mm, like 17.05mm or call Mcmaster Carr and get a 17mm

Don is right.  The 43/64" drill (.6718" is only .0028" bigger than 17mm (.669")
