top speed
tcoop474:
I was told by the builder of my motor that my flywheel was also lightened
russ:
i run a 12/50 on my kx5 and it has no top speed think i got it to 95km thats in woods trails thats what the gps said but man does it have alot of low end power today for some reason gps said i got up to 142 km
sandblaster:
142 Km/hour = 88.23 miles/hour.
That's about right.
Get it on a hard flat surface, pin it in 5th until the head starts to shake, loosen your grip and let the front end walk around a bit, and I'll bet you can get 90 out of it :-)
russ:
every thing is stock on my bike but the 12/50 sprockets how can i get some more power out of it for cheap i just did new piston re plated the cylinder but what else can i do for fairly cheap . i am lookin for more grunt inthe bogg holes , i ride alot of mudd boggs and 1st and 2nd good just too short and 3rd and 4th it takes a min to power up and light em up , so what can i do for more quicker bottom end/power quicker

I don't know what you are looking for, with 12/50 gearing 1st and 2nd are basically useless because you have extremly high gearing. What do you mean by " more grunt in the bog holes" ? A bone stock KX500 has about 58 hp, that should be MORE than adequate to charge any mud hole..
