The day started out nice, a warm sunny day for the Urban Assault DualSport ride in Oklahoma City. It was a benefit ride for the wife of a young man that died from a brain injury in a tough man contest. It was a waypoint only ride, no tracks or maps. At each waypoint on the GPS there was a clue we had to find and figure out.
We met at Java Dave's, everyone had coffee, breakfast, hot chocolate or some kind of combination.

While we were getting ready Terry got the bright idea to drive across the rail road tracks. Someone
might have said he "Couldn't do it". Well he couldn't, I was slow with the camera so I got the pic after he got un-stuck.

We got about 3 waypoints into the ride when Terry realized he had a flat. Could it have been the tracks??
It could have been the penny he drove over. So we drove back to the coffee shop for the tools in Nano's truck.
He had a milk crate we set the bike on, so tire changing 101 commenced.

I was getting ready to take pictures of the progress when the crate gave way under the weight of the KLR650.
It happened so fast no one could react. The bike fell on Nate.

I heard a snap and thought the bike had broken his leg. He reassured us he was hurt but not that bad, he
just needed to "Walk it off".
We got the wheel back on the bike and off we went. Someone had said it was a race so I didn't take any pictures
until waypoint 53 when I was told it was NOT a race.

I brought a flashlight like they said we would need for finding one of the clues but Nate and Nano said "We don't need no stinking flashlight we've got headlights on our bikes and off they went. Here they are returning.

The last waypoint was the "Thunder Run motorcycle meet. Man did we look out of place in motocross gear and muddy.
A shot of Nate.

All in all it was a good day ending at the "Wall of Death".
