2stroke oil
Timbowe:
The higher the first number, the more gas compared to oil. 32:1 is very rich. More accustomed to a Villiers Lawn mower motor of the 1950s. :-D The new synthetic oils are designed to run at very lean ratios and still provide superior protection compared to mineral based 2 stoke lubes. Because of the strict anti pollution laws set by the U.S and other countries, the makers of these oils have perfected a very low emission content. As well as low "spooge" excreting from around the front exhaust port and thats just another bonus. Cost effective as well because you are mixing far leaner ratios, more than 2/3rds less, the bottle lasts heaps longer. Check it out. Worth it.

Can anyone in England recommend any of the oils we get over here for 50 or even 80:1 . What about Silkolene comp2 premix or the extra expensive pro2 ?

cheers for that one Alan . I like the sound of 100:1 premix but check out the price difference , a 1 quart bottle in the States $9 here $20 ! although in fairness its only the normal price of a very good 50:1 oil here.

Order,
Silkolene is big in Canada. Lot of racers use it and swear by it. I haven't tried it so have no direct experience. Cam.
