Note that this is a KX500 thread. Different size machines requires different lubrication. Anyone with a 'small' engine size (or a high revving engine) should not follow these recomendations. Read up on recomendations for your particular engine size. Check out other forums for your own engine or use the manufactures recomendations.

I really did not like what I just wrote. Sounds very much like something a parent would say or like a warning sign on the backside of a white spirit bottle "Consuming the content of this container might give you double vision, do not try to puke, call a doctor etc".

I have run Ams 100;1 premix in all 2 stroke bikes that I have owned. From 175 yamahas 200 yamahas Kdx 200s and Kx500s. Amsoil 100:1 is compatibable with all types of 2 stroke engines even weedeaters. I also supply Ams 100 to lots of other long term users in my district. These riders have had no problem with the stuff at all. Some of the owner/self maintainers even say they are amazed at the inners of there upper engines look clean and very tidy.     :mrgreen:   :wink:    :-D
