85 and 86 are the same frames.  no sub frame. 87 and up  are more closely related.i have [had]  1 of each year. 86,87. 94 in the garage right now and my first K5 was an 85. i agree with foxx they will fit but you might have to mess with the mounts. i just hung my exhaust on my 86 last night. i have an old psi racing pipe.and a 90 stock muffler. i cut 3 inches off the pipe and now it fits like a glove.
