Neither one of mine ever had an airbox lid and i bought them both brandnew from the dealer. The only thing my manuals ever said about wet conditions was to close the shutters :?

I'll try to get some pictures here in a day or two so you guys can see the lid and air box. Maybe the 87 model is a little different from the newer models.

The only Kaw that I ever saw with an airbox lid was the KDX200.....which you promptly threw away to get more power.  Is this maybe an option or a Euro feature (Hey Folke?) we didn't get in North America? Cam.
