KX60 HELP! In need of rebuild!

chris-mets:
Ok I received the crankshaft with the bearings, seals, and gaskets, but I cannot dissasemble the engine. I took off the front sprocket on the engine and I took off the flywheel and stator but thats all I can do. I can't loosen the center bolt on the clutch or the center bolt on the primary gear. I tried putting a washer in between the gears to loosen but no luck. Someone help. It's been about 6 months since I've heard this thing run. :( Help would be appreciated!

1989kawasaki:
borrow someones air compressor to use your air tools like i suggested before

Motorrad:
Appart is the easy bit..... how are you going to hold it all to TORQUE the nut durring assembly?

Washers in gears, is a good way to have to buy gears... (teeth bust off)

No offence, but if you dont have the right tools... take it to somone who does, or buy the tools...

Clutch hub holding tool is what you need at this point... and a torque wrench, and a crankshaft Jig, and, and , and.

1989kawasaki:
you cant half ass an engine rebuild

chris-mets:
I'm not. I am going to my friends house to loosen the bolts with my air tools and his compressor. I talked to a guy before and he said he didn't use any special tools to rebuild his kx60 engine like case splitters or pullers or anything. He used a rubber mallet and other normal things. If the washer is aluminum is doesn't hurt the teeth. I will tighten the bolts the same way I loosened them.
