The tree huggers say that the "gravel" from the road is washing off filling in the creeks and drainages. That the "gravel" is destroying the environment, and disrupting wildlife. Well the road is made of decayed granit , Pikes Peak "IS" decayed granit. There is no difference between the road surface and what the whole mountain is made out of. Erosion is what happens to any mountain if there is a road on it or not.The Sierra Club knows that if you spend enough $$$$ on propaganda, and partial truths the puplic and polititions will believe just about anything.

   Truly, its all about stopping the race.   Sad but true.

  Its the second oldest motor race in the USA,     Indy is #1.



Get up there while you can.    Bike set up now is leaning towards Supermoto. You can't run knobbies any more and fewer people are running class C dirt track tires.
