Im thinking about starting to ride the track this season ... and I havent ever ridden it before, any tips?

Goat:
Do you plan to race or just playing?

Best thing to do is take it slow and learn to corner efficiently. Bump up your speed every couple laps or so. Eventually everything will come naturally and you'll be able to fly around the whole track with consistent lap times. Learning which line to pick is good to work on too. Especially if there are a lot of people on the track with you. Don't let them push you out of their line. Go where you feel comfortable. Biggest thing ever is Look where you want to go not right in front of the bike. I like to look between 50 and 80 feet in front of me sometimes more depending on track.

If your serious, I would go to a reputable MX school, what you learn there will be valuable even trail riding

Yah I'm serious... I have only been riding for one season and I'm 14 so I wanted to try something other than the trails. My dad said to take lessons too.

It is always good to ride with more experianced racers too, they have been around and know what to do just as much as any instructor at a MX school. You can follow them, especially on a track, and watch what lines they take and watch what kind of speed they have in different areas. It helps a ton, at least that is how I got used to riding tracks.
