Thats a pity but we hold it every year I have a 2001 kx5 the new toy a 2008 crf450 1981 maico 490 and a 1983 rm500 we have a good mx club up here with about 16 or so rounds in the season and the annual beach race where riders from all over Scotland and some from your neck of the woods come up it a weekened event with a mx meeting on the saturday and then a 3 hour beach race on the sunday

that sounds mint! i would love to be able to commit myself but my line of work normally puts the blockers on. im a lift engineer, funnily enough, the last 3 years have been in scotland! mostly glasgow nd aberdeen. nxt week am gettin shipd to london to the olympic games site in stratford. i hate london! i wish i was perminantly based in scotland, and could of made arrangements.
     I must add, as a lad i always wanted a 490, just loved them 4 some reason. do u use that for any events u take part in? alex

Yes I only started racing 4years ago and started with the 490 lol. Racing against the newer bikes so got a crf and now on my second one. The Kx I got at the end of last year as I used to own a 1987 one 18 years ago and never raced it so just going through my youth again. This site has been amazing for that bike. Going to do as many races as I can with that. As for the Maico planning to do some rounds of the Scottish Twinshocks and the Rm500 is a project stil trying to source some parts for it. Even tho it newer than the Maico it been impossible to get parts for so always on the look out for parts. But for this year it the kx5 that will mainly getting used....Chris

findin parts for old dirt bikes in england is pretty tough, let alone an RM500. ive got a lot of mx breakers phone numbers,just let me know if you want em.K.
