Pipe?
kwakman:
i think its a bit rough that you pay x amount of hard earned cash for a kxaf and get palmed off with a pipe designed for a cr5.the different bore and stroke equates to needing a different size dwell section at least.i know the af's arent a huge production run but if a jobs worth doing, its worth doing properly.
kaw rider:
I have been kicking around the idea of marketing a better pipe but the 8K stampings cost for a pipe just is hard to bite on. A hand cone pipe just don't last long with the header route of the dirt bike.

Hopefully someone will come up with a different AF pipe. My project starts this week. Probably be a month or more before I get to the pipe. Which hopefully will be the last piece of the puzzle for the project.
ZETTNORCAL:
So with all of the pipes that I have I started with the noleen. I cut it in 2 places......test fit it and gave up. Then I took the FMF CR5 pipe and it fit so so but would take more cutting. Next was a CR5 PC pipe and it fit nice execpt for the water ports on the side of the cylinder. With some heat and a hammer I made it fit! Of courseI had to also cut off and weld an inlet from the KX5 on to it though. Check it out. everything is just tack welded so far.
kwakman:
doesnt look like a bad fit,is it a 'works' pipe?
