kx250.1698:
hi guys, I have put my kx250 ignition coil on and finaly the bike have spark when you kick it, I am going to change the float bit so make it start easy again because all the petrol came out of the overflow. Is there maby something els i could tray to make it start easy? haven't kick started it yet going to do that today?
KX500freak:
1/cold start, hold bike till a drop of gas pours out ,
choke in ,no gas ,it should fire up in 1,2 maybe 3 kicks
2/hotstart ,hold throttle slightly open ,maybe 1/4 ,kick and ride
3/emergency cold start, no choke ,throttle wide open ,gas on ,few kicks it should fire
4/emergency hot start, like if u cant fire it up after a fall or stall.
gas off throttle closed ,kick several times, motor dries out ,gas on ,1/4 throttle
hope to be of any help :-)

Still having carb issues, or timing. Maybe fuel not flowing through petcock. Test fuel flow by removing fuel line and opening valve. If that s OK, then hook it back up, turn it on, give it time to fill float bowl. Lean over to the floor. gas should poor from bowl's overflow. If that works choke and kick, if no start check and change plug. Then see if the plug is wet, oily, dry, smells like fuel. That sorta stuff. You might check jets for sizes and for debris. No answers then I would see what timing is doing. Forget pulling it around to start, you are close to having it going.
