is the kx100 too powerful for a beginner rider?

it should be a good bike for him easy to kick over, light, handles good, and he can prob ride it till he turns 13. and i have one i can sell you =) haha im in pa 16101.

The KX100 is a great little bike. As mentioned above, simply detune it till he gets used to it. A quick no cost effective detune is to simply remove the E clip on the powervalve (it takes away the hit). Good luck, & let us know how it works out.
