First Bike for Women
MadKaw:
agree with the KLX125L, its medium stature, good power, though not screamin. the L has the front disc brake. my 14 yo daughter rides 1 and has a blast on it. its not too tall and doesn't throw her off the back. and ya, the Kawi and the Suzi are the same bike so which ever you get the better deal on you can make green if you wanna....PEACE

I think the most important thing is that her leg reach the ground while she is setting on it! Secondly not to powerful!

Hillclimb#42:
Thanks guys. Klx sounds good. I'm a little prejudice against Suz@#$, i'm surprised the DRZ is the same bike. :x I know brakes are interchangeable between mfg's and therefore sometimes wheels. Someone would have to give me something yellow after owning an RM. I have been looking at CRF's and TT's also. Trying to stay away from another Egay basket-case, but have little resource for slow bikes at the hilllclimbs. I actually think she will only ride a putter for the rest of this season, so I'm trying to get a good deal for resale purposes also. First time I'm working a resale angle also. Any other ideas on sources other than Egay or any auction tips?

This thread from Women's forum at DRN is a very good read and is written by the women them selfs. It has the pros as well as the cons.
