Hey guy, I have a kx 125 1999 I’m doin a ground up on it, currently in pieces, before pulling it apart I was aware of water in gear box as would use lots of water and oil would go milky so I assumed what pump seal or worm shaft upon taking motor out I notice a lot of water in exhaust chamber, further to that I noticed water in crank aswell I inspected the head gasket  and she is f**ked. Is it possible for that much water to work it’s way down to crank from just a head gasket or could it be something more sevier. Thanks guys, if you could bear with me as I’m not very mechanical savie. :-)

Hi Craigo 89, welcome to the site.  Sounds like you've got quite a rebuild on your hands.  Did you take photos of the motor as you took it apart?  I'm curious to see how much water is in the motor.

Absolutely, if the head gasket is really that bad. Just sitting, water could seep into the crank area. You didn't mention if the water in the crank area was milky grey...if it was/is, that would indicate a bad clutch side crank seal...it's obvious the water pump seal/shaft is bad with your oil being grey.
The other possibility is you "could" have a bad magneto side crank seal...but...you would've needed to be riding in a lot of heavy wet conditions for water to get past the magneto cover and sucked through a bad crank seal. If you had/have a bad crank seal, you should also have noticed it running lean, and possibly rather hot.

Hey guy thanks, water in crank case is clean, I haven’t pulled bottom end apart as I’m trying to avoid that, the head gasket wasn’t absolutely f**ked only had one spot on it were it was broken, I’m goin to do the water pump seal and shaft if shaft is f**ked witch I assume it is, do you guys no a way for me to get water out crank case without splitting the case, take barrel of and turn upside and flush with diesel ? Thanks for your help bois :-)

Also the bottom end on bike was bit dooey when riding but then mid range and power band were fine,
