85 kx125 - how much fork oil?

Howdy

Im finally getting around to the fork seals on my kx125d1

Ive got the clymer on order, but Id like to get them together before this weekend... Can anybody tell me how much oil to put into my forks? Ive got the bastards all the way apart and they're needing some massive cleaning.

I cant seem to find anybody on line that goes that far back with their info...

thanks!

smasheromalley:
Well I still cant find any info online and my clymer still isnt in my mailbox. I put them together last night with 10w oil at 95mm air gap.

The closest thing I could find was
http://www.tech-care.com/suspension/kawaskaisuspensionsettings.htm
tho its a totally different type of fork... but o well.

They felt ridiculously stiff individually but Im comparing them to almost totally empty - plus the dynamics are probably a little different pounding a berm at 40mph...

hoopty:
Did you try calling a Kawasaki dealership?

smasheromalley:
Ya I kinda wish I woulda thought of that first.

They told me it was 7.1 inches. Great.

Well at least I am pretty familiar with tearing them down.

smasheromalley:
My clymer finally came in. 7.1 inches. All better now.

Of course now I screwed up my front brake. It was a little soft so I thought Id open the bleeder and let some clean fluid run thru and now I cant get any front brake at ALL. :(
