Tried that one once.  Good traction... But doesn't live here in desert baja 1000 type conditions..  That's why they make the desert it...

i hear ya thats why  asked. your right about the terrain. its brutal hard around here. and i know if i dont put on the "wears like rebar" im  going to wish i had. thanks for the reply. in contemplation. :-P

following up the maxxis desert it tire that i put on just over a month ago. the tire is better than any other tire thats for sure. and its not a uni-directional tire so now half of it is gone. so is it a good idea to flip it over in the rim and run it the other way?  this is getting expensive. i need a tire made of steel.
