is there a rear tire?
b4himdude:
heres the 2 hundred million dollar question.... on a kx500 being ridden on hard terrain, does a tire exist that will last more than 5 hrs of riding on it. if not then i would like some opinions from anybody who has found a rear tire that is at least worth giving some praise . i used to run a kings tire that i can no longer find. basically due to the cheaper price tag,and lasted as long as any. ive just about wasted a shinko 505 i bought less thsnav 3 months. and 50 % if that 3 months i had the bike torn down rebuilding it. anybody????

Maxxis Max Cross IT...they last quite a while....I found they suck in the sand, but they really aren't made for sand either...

Desert It. Has to say desert on it. Wears like rebar
Foxx4Beaver:
that may be so, but the regular one I had on for 4 months didn't have a scratch on it...even after several high speed runs and heavy wheel spin on packed crushed stone roads our power lines are made of.
the only reason I took it off was it's poor performance in soft terrain...other than that, I would've kept running it.
either one, ya can't miss.

cool. all i have out my backdoor is hard terrain, rocky hill climbs rocky creek beds, rocky rocky rocky rocky. but theres a benefit to rocky....no 4 wheeler bug dust ruined trails. maxxis huh. desert? rebar...im on it..thanx. i wish i knew something somebody didn't already know around here and feel like a contributing member for a change. and not just a leach for an answer.
