Rev limiter
Brute:
So here's the deal:
I have let two 'racers' ride the KX500 SuMo. Both made the comment that they were surprised it did not pull harder. ?!?! This thing pulls like a freight train! My guess is they both were revving the crap out of it and the power was falling off. I was not close enough to either to hear what they were actually doing. I have the Trail Tech set for yellow light at 7500 and red at 8000.
What I really want is an actual rev limiter or a loud buzzer I can set at red line as one of them will probably ride it again and I do not want a lunched engine. :x
The only rev limiters I can find are large. The only other thing I can come up with is trying to wire into the led on the Trail Tech and make a relay set up to power a buzzer.
Any idea's other then not letting anyone else ride it? :-D

I don't know... If your motor is in good shape and jetted right can you really blow it up?
I hate to admit what I've done to mine and so far so good... 8-)

I saw these but at the time I dismissed them because they are 'not here'. It may be an option though. They are small enough. May be the best choice.

I guess my deal is if the power is falling off it is of no use to keep revving it, but I do not want it smoked either! Big piston that is getting hurled around in there! Lots of weight trying to pull the rod apart. It would be nice to have something to say "Hey knuckle head! Shift!" :-D
