Weight difference?

<< < (2/4) > >>

Dutch-K5 Fan:
Have you ever feel how much a 2t 250 crank weight, compared to a 4t 250?
And than the lighter clutch. Still it's special.

R&D $$$$  :-D
The money has been in 4T.
If the manufactures were to spend a little of that for 2T development it would be a different world...
I think the average rider would be shocked at how little 2T's have actually changed in the last 15-20 years.

CR250f X with electric start is 59 lbs, CR250f R is 53 lbs.  CR250R engine is 51 lbs.  I doubt the KX 250f is 7 lbs lighter than the 2T.

Well, I weighed the 04 KX 250F motor I was getting ready to put in a bike.  You don't have to believe me I guess, but that is what the scale said.  It was complete too, except for the items noted.

what it really comes down to is the 250f performs like a 125 2t, and the weight difference there
