Green Machine Beast:
that might be my intentions but idk might keep her shes an oldie but goodie and dont make no more so might have onto it and sell my 86 ktm

Green Machine Beast:
its a nice bike and would be my first time on a bike bigger than 125 besides a quad haha.. bike runs really good just not sure why top end is boggie slacks in power.. thinking jetting issue with bike havin aftermarket parts

Friar-Tuck:
Can you see if the kips is moving?  If I'm not mistaken the older bikes have less moving parts.  This might be holding your top end back.

kwakman:
that be an 87 KX5.that x box has done you proud.eventually. :-D welcome K.

kwakman:
you mite find with the mainjet that bcoz of the improved scavenging capabilities of the pipe you might have to go one size down on your main jet to get her to percolate.checking your main bearings by grabbing flywheel and trying to move it up or down to check for play is your first job.checking  crank seals and gaskets and cases/inlet for air leaks is your second.read sparkplug for jetting clues after checking for airleaks.check what jets carb is running b4 doing jetting.hth.K.
