KX noob here
« on: December 02, 2010, 10:08:46 PM »
Hello all,

Just a quick introduction.  I'm 41. Married with 3 kids, 3 parrots, and 1 dog.  I work for a major medical imaging company as a field service engineer, servicing CT scanners, MRI's and some diagnostic X-Ray.  I am going to pick up my first KX5 tomorrow and am stoked!!  It is a 2000 model in excellent shape.  I have always ridden red bikes so this is exciting to me. I will post pics of bike as soon as I'm able.  Until then, Take care......David

 Welcome Dave,
Hey I would like to thank you for keeping those machines humming...
I have become a frequent flyer in them and not once on account of my bike... Getting Old is all they say it's cracked up to be!! DOH!!

Plenty of stuff to look through here, and Yes...I sound like a broken record... Get yourself a service manual and fight through the boredom of it and you'll be surprised at how much good info is tucked away in there.
Plenty to look through through here also.
(Thank's to the guy's who passed the site on and keep it going.!)

Spend some time getting a feel for the bike, and remember Throttle Control..Throttle Control!  :-D
It will do wonders keeping you out of those MRI Tubes
