Well guys im new to the forums and figured id let everyone know whats going on. I recently got my hands on a rebuilt KX540 engine that i no to disregard you guys is gonna make you sick but is going in a streetbike of mine. Ive been thinking about this everytime i take out my 4 stroke how much more fun it would be in the city to have a 2 stroke. Ive checked with all my laws and believe i can do it legally so im gonna do it. Right now im gonna rebuild the motor to my specs for porting and maybe chaging the transmission around a little. Other than that ill keep you posted and may need some help along the ways on some things regarding the motor.

Hey Mike,
There are several Plated K-5's running around. Sounds like a great project. The way I've heard it done out here in Cali is to register it as experimental. You still have to have the lights and horn etc, but can be done.
Glad to have you with us.
