Premix

You what to run the ratio that your motor needs for the depend that you put on your motor. You would gum up your kips if you run 927 at 24:1-28:1 with rich jetting cruising around your local riding spot. I got 20 hours on a topend running 927 at 20:1 and the kips look good with correct jetting.

An oil manufacturer premix ratio is based and the concentrate of the oil. 100:1 is not "scary" when you realize that the 32:1 takes more to mix with 5 gallons than 100 or 50:1. That tells me that the lower mix ratio is obviously "watered" down because you need more of it to maintain a good lubricating property. I ran the Amsoil 100:1 in a quadzilla for the better part of 10 years and performed excellent!!! The power valve stayed real clean too. I run Amsoil dominator @ 50:1 in my K5 and it is the best oil I have run, I have run the others too.

i was a big amsoil guy but had fast piston wear since then went away from it. i've pulled piston out of motors that have had 5 hours on piston and had crazy wear. All 2 stroke piston need to be coated to fix the issue with new oils out there running less oil. But that doesn't fix the rings problems.

I digress, to say Maxima 927 was developed for Ricky Carmichael. The article I was referring to is in Motocross Action July 2009, page 74 where it states that "Super oil actually begin it's life as a two-stroke pre-mix. When Ricky Carmichael raced a Suzuki RM250 two-stroke, Roger Decoster looked into every possible way to increase performance. He discovered hidden horsepower in premix oil. With the help of Maxima, a special blend of two-stroke oil gave Ricky two more horsepower." I still think it is the Castor 927 pro-series (the latest & greatest blend). As to Maxima Castor gumming up motors, I run it between 32:1 and 40:1 depending on displacement with a properly jetted motor, and it works fine for me racing motocross WFO - pin it to win it baby!!!! :-D

Bean oils are great, but can be spoogy. I find they work best with race fuels and I think they were intended to be used with that.
The pump fuel we are getting from the feds is junk now. I run 93 with stabilizer and yamalube R
If i could afford it I would switch back to race fuel and 927
