Explosive rear shock ! Help

<< < (4/7) > >>

BDI:
I wonder if they could have over charged it. I know that with my nitrogen set up I can easily put 500 psi in something with out breaking a sweet. I myself would never do a half ass job of rebuilding a shock even if the customer asked me to. When you work on something for someone and then there is a problem with it no one ever says bdi fixed it and then it failed because I asked him to half ass it. My reputation is worth to much to me. if some one wants hack work done I will turn the work away. I just turned down a complete engine rebuild because the guy didn't want to put in new main bearings. anything worth doing is worth doing right and if you do it right the first time you don't have to do it again.

RoostDaddy:
Its funny BDI mentions it may have been overcharged as the first thing that came to mind when I read this was that it probably had too much nitrogen in it.  Not quite enough to blow the bladder initially, but I'd imagine it will need replaced also.

I am sure they will stand behind their work , i hope anyways.  :| I tried to take a picture of the threads , it's like they are gone. They are all smashed together and smooth on the parts that launched out when i tried to kick start it. I added links to the pictures , I hope i get my shock back by next weekend because i have a trip planned.

Shop is standing behind their work and told me they were sorry.  :-) Also said they would try to have my shock back together and back to me tomorrow.  :-D  I have done alot of business with this shop in the past years. I own a few quads , k5 , and a wr500 so i have dropped thousands in the last years going there. Thanks alot for all your support guys !
