New to the board.
« on: March 15, 2010, 09:59:53 AM »
Hi everybody just saying hi and tell ya a little about me and my bike. I ride a 2002 kx500 Ive had it for about a year now and just tore it down this week for a complete rebuild, I have used this site for all the little tricks and tips for making my bike perfect and run for another 8 years. I must say I love this bike so much more than all the cr500 ive had in the past. I myself am a automotive master tech and love dirt bikes and motorcycles in my spare time. I also ride at the Jersey Shore so if anybody is in the area and looking to go riding hit me up, the more the merrier when riding. Thanks ERIC

Hi all,
I`m new here and here`s a lil about me.
I live in Utah and ride a 91 kx500. It been sleeved, piped, I`ve rebuilt the trans and it has a modified carb on it.
I am hoping someone has heard of this crazy bowl I have on the carb, it has been drilled and tapped and there are no jets in it, besides the needle of corse.
I have tried to adjust it myself but typicaly get the thing so far out of wack it won`t run.
Anyway, I have ordered some jets for an old Kiehin pj I have layin around and that all will end soon-I hope.
My bike has a 96 front end on it I was told by the guy I bought it from.
I have really enjoyed this bike being a retired racer from the early 80s.
The pro circut "works" pipe got negleted one time and now is painted.
Hope there is a rider in the northern Utah area, if so get in touch.
I like ta ride in the mountains.

Out 4 now

Welcome C.O.B.
Glad you jumped in the melee' ,
If you could start a new thread in the general with piccy I'm sure someone will help with I.D & tuning
There should be plenty to look through as far as any tips or trick guys have either tried or dropped on their 500.
You might get a tad more exposure if you went back to the introductions page and on the right hand side of the threads, there is a tab that says (start a new topic)  That way you will get your own intro thread.
Sometimes if there are already "Welcome replies" guys will move to the ones without any.
( so no one feels left out!)
Please jump in on any of the othe other topics, we want to maximize your exposure! :-o
   Well...you know what I mean...
