Would of thought it would be the other way but, after reading that link it's makes sense now.
wounder if that's why the kx and the cr stayed with the steel frames and didn't jump to aluminum frames in the later years..

Speeking of Honda being late to the party. Anyone else remember Jeremy mcgrath's very vocal dislike of al frames.

Not only for weight, also alot better acces on the carb and so.
Vertimati made a steel swingarm that was llighter than alu.
So wy do they use alu. Marketing if you ask me!!!!!!!

depends. I think modern geometry has entirely too much influance from motocross/supercross tracks. I like the old geomety better for open desert.
