Snow ride in Okla.
« on: January 04, 2010, 02:06:14 AM »
We are ca ca cold.  To much snow for the K5.  Dec. 24th we got hit by the biggest snow storm on record.  13.5 inches.  Before this snow, since 1890 we only had 12 Christmas days with snow on the ground.  The airport is the official site for measurement, 2 miles from my girlfriends house.  It's been quad and 3 wheeler only riding.  For 2 days the only thing that could get traction was my quad.  I stocked up on everything I needed at the house before the storm.  Went to the parents house and loaded them up with fire wood in the house.
They are in their 80's so I needed to check on them 2 times each day.  It's 3 miles to their house so I just drove the quad just like a car, right down the road.  Cars in the ditch every where.  At one time all the Interstate highways were closed.  Checked in on the neighobor,  he took the pictures.

Looks Fun. Be safe and keep all that white stuff away from Georgia.

Funny, thats what its SUPPOSED to look like at my house up here in the north in Canada.  Instead my grass is starting to turn green, I ski on friday, ride on Saturday, and mountain bike of Sunday.  Lots of firsts this year, first time skiing in November and first time riding in January and Feb (that is without snow). Lots of street bike are out too. Cam.

If that happens frequently you should look into finding some tire studs for the k5. once you get some spikes on that bad boy you'll forget there's snow on the ground! either that or go for the 2moto snowbike conversion, a k5 would rip!
