Radiator screens

Johnniespeed:
I too have been distributing those radiator grills throughout Michigan. They cost me about $15 each and I hope to someday find a few back again. I did discover that using clear RTV silicone on the mounting studs will keep them in place very well and thus save a few bucks. My current ones have the Monster decals on them and have stayed in place for a few years.

At one time moose made aluminum radiator screens that  looked like the stock ones. I was told that they stopped makeing them because they did nothing to stop rocks from getting to the radiator. They sure were sweet looking though.

for info:
the originals of the ?03 fit.

I?ve got another question by the way, it?s not about the K5 so i don?t start a new fred:
Can anyone tell me where i can find the length limit of the cam chain tensioner of a ?05 CRF450R?
I can?t find anything in the interned, the service manual or CRF forums.

 tschisi,
Thanks for getting back about the rad screens.

I haven't had the money to tear into my kids CRF450 yet, we just got it summer '09.
However I think the question is whether or not the tensioner needs replacing is not if it will pop out far enough..
The tensioner needs replacing if you can compress it closed again once it has opened up.
I will try to find where I saw that, it was a vid on valve adjustment.
