Radiator screens
tschisi:
Hello!
I need new radiator screens for my 1990.
I tried to order them from kawasaki but it seems that they can no longer be delivered.
So i thought about ordering them with the part number of the 2003 model.
The numbers are nearly the same, with a little difference, maybe because of the color?
Do you know if they will fit?
I got the numbers from ronayers.com, the drawings there look the same.
1990:
radiators:
39061-1112
39061-1113
screens green:
14037-1099-6W
2003:
radiators:
39061-1235
39061-1236
screens white:
14037-1099-RZ
thx

I cant say for sure, but I'd bet you could use them.
KXcam22:
Just a suggestion, but why don't you just get some aluminum guards. I my world I throw those plastic things away the first day I get a new bike and replace them with real aluminum guards. Cam.

The plastic one's are better for cooling. Or are there alu look a like's??

I like the OEM plastic ones, but they don't like me.
I've liberated several of the newer part number versions (2001) in various riding areas here in Southern California. My bike has strategically placed them in hiding spots that I can't even find. If you locate any while riding, they are mine.
The holes in the aluminum radiator have enlargened enough with vibration and age that they remind me of a joke punchline (nsfw). Duct taping the screens along the mating wall of the shrouds just annoys them. I've taken to using a safety wire leash in addition to the tape.
