last weekend I went out to teath the GF to ride ( wasnt a whole bunch of fun ) My plan was for her to ride the 125, not a good plan so she ended up riding a friends old yamaha 100, I think she is hooked she came home from work the following monday with new riding gear, so i think im looking for a ttr for her. Anyway after fighting the boredom of watching everyone ride I decided to have a litle drag race ( I really dont consider it racing but for all do purposes i will stay with that ), I picked out a fire road which had only a few small whoops. it was the best i could do. Anyway I was on the KX 125 my Son on my 500 ( he rides a CR 250 ) my brother on the KX450 and some other guy ona fuel injected RMZ450.. This is how it went down in a 40 yard race.... me on the 125 clutcking speed shifting not one letting go of the throttle that was wide open The 500 which was closing real fast.. the KX 450 3 bike links back and The RMZ on the 450s back tire...now this was just a short run so i know in a long desert race things would be much different. Just a few things each bike did different. The 125 was real quick but i was working it pretty good no wheel stands starting off it was just contant clutching ( slipping to get more speed ) The 500 as we all know really spun and and twisted until it caught traction and took off, ripping my sons arms from thier sockets. The 450 f no tire spin no wheel stand contant traction just not as quick as the two strokes. The suzuki fuel injected 450.... well its a suzuki. i must say that the kaw 450f is a nice ride and alot easier to ride..my to cents.
