Cross Bar Ranch.

I went and rode Cross Bar Ranch in Davis Oklahoma Monday, with Ron, Don and their friend.

We rode the expert area.  It kicked my butt.  Trashed the KX500AF on the rocks 2 times.  Killed the bike in the technical stuff.  I, of course, couldn't loose my balance and fall up the hill.  Both times I was able to jump off the bike and stay on my feet.  That high dollar pipe protection paid off big time.  Once on each side.  The left side radiator guard came into play.  Pointed rock mark in the shroud in line with the radiator.  It's like Clayton Oklahoma but more rocks and steep trails.  It took us 3 hours to go 16 miles (GPS) and top speed was 22 mph.  No way would I take the KLR into that mess.  Many creek crossings.  Got stuck on the mossy rocks and all most fell in the deep end.  My clutch hand is in the waa waa mode today.
These guys are hard core.  Not much time to take pictures.  Last picture is leaving the riding area, most of the trails look like the side of the road.  More soil when we're in the trees.  Any time you break out of the tree line it's nothing but rocks.  Many downed trees because of high winds 2 weeks ago.  Ron knew where the downed trees were, and we avoided them so we didn't have to do the turn around dance.  There were 2 hills we went down and I was hoping we did not have to come back up them to get out of there.  We had a great time after it's all said and done.  The picture of the 2 guys are Ron and Don.  Ron's on the left he's the Service Manger @ House of Kawasaki in Okla.City and Don on the right is one of his Mechanics.
