Greetings from southeast Idaho. I love the site I have been treating it like a magazine (lots of reading) for about a year. I?m a 38, and have been riding dirt/street bikes off and on since the 80?s. My current dirt bike is the KX500. I am lucky enough to live 4 miles (.5 pavement) from national forest making it quite easy to ride from my house whenever I have time. Yesterday way my first ride of the year. We still have a lot of snow unfortunately, but the snow is retreating. Most of the trails here are technical single track (steep, rocky, roots, creeks). I seldom get into third gear here. St. Anthony sand dunes are a couple of hours north of me and offer plenty of space to get out of second gear. My bike (98) is mostly stock it has a home made Powernow, IMS pegs, tall gripper seat. I just replaced the factory aluminum clutch plates its kinda new for being so old. Drop me a line if you live close. Happy riding.
