Help with picking a Spark arrestor for '05 kx250

  Hey everyone,

   Need  some guidence on choosing a spark arrestor for my 2005 kx250. I am looking @ entering a hare sramble and you need to have a spark arrestor.Some places even require that your bike meets a specific db level.I have a procircuit  304 now.Anyone tried out the procicuit type 296.Just want to thank yall in advance.Take all the help I can get.

R u running a stock pipe w/ your fmf turbine core 2 Q ?

Yep, stock pipe with the FMF Turbine Core 2 Q. Maybe one of these days I'll get an after market pipe. Stock is so strong though.

Yeah im pretty satisfied  w/ stock pipe and pc-304. Unfortuanitly if I want to ride anywhere other than mx tracks I will have to change to a spark arrestor/silencer. I havent seen any reviews on the Pc-Type 296.The turbine core 2 has a lot of good write ups.

I went with the Sparky. It mounts to stock silencer. They have them to fit just about any style silencer, with significantly less cost. Mine was like $50 for my 96 250. I can remove it quickly, just 2 bolts and a little silicone and oil to clean, but I have a FMF shorty that I usually run and just use the Sparky on stock silencer to ride Public riding spots.
The only down-side that I can think of, is that it extends the silencer making a loop-out a possible catastrophy. Power loss is minimal.

I run the 296 on my 04. It worked well and it fits the 05-07 KX250s also. I just mounted one up on my girlfriends new 07. Ive had durability issues with the FMF Qs on several bikes. They only spot weld the core in 2 spots and they have a tendency to break there. The PC 296 is fully welded and holds up better.

   Other than the canister being a lil longer that looks like it fits well .Thats a preety sweet looking 07.

Its a Acerbis DHH headlight. Im going to run it off of the powerjet coil. This worked well with my 03 and 04 KX250s. We need lights to pass tech inspection at some enduros.

  I decided to go w/ a pc-type 296.Thanks to all who replied to post.Hey Flyin Hawaiin I am located right on MD/Pa line offf I-83.Im interested in getting involved in some hs and enduros.I am not sure best way about procedures about getting involved.If yall ever want to get together and do some riding shoot me an email subloc32@msn.com.
