JBKX:
I USED A 98 KX250 BOOT.  IT WAS TIGHT BUT HASN'T CAUSED ANY PROBS.  FTZ MIGHT HAVE SOMETHING FOR YOU!

1alldave:
JBKX- Thanks for the input. I think I solved the problem. I have a Rad valve on the KX, It was sloppy with the Mikuni. Just happened to have another Rad valve for a CR500(would not work when I went to the Service Honda AF bike), tried the boot from it and it fits like a glove since the CR500 comes with a 38mm carb. I have been considering going to the V-force so I may try your KX250 intake. Should have the alcohol carb by New Years weekend, I will let you know how it goes. Thanks for your help.

YUNGGUNNAZ:
Dave have you tried the lectron.maybe a 40mm.metering rod change and fuel inlet valve should do it.also tried a mossbarger reed cage w/spacer and and did better than v force.but thats just my 1 cents.

doordie:
YOUNGGUNNAZ!

Mossberger reedcage with spacer works better then V-force,plz tell more about that combo...!

YUNGGUNNAZ:
doordie,I,ve used the mossbarger cage on yz490,cr500 and the kx500 with success.we dirt drag 300' and 400' tracks.using the spacer put cage back some to allow for better vaccum as well as intake charge entering at a downward angle.there is a co. on ebay thats selling a cage that looks alot like the mossbarger and they have flow # saying they flow more than most.i have also seen the v force pedals break often.not good at about 65.00 a pop.if you stay with stock cage angle the top of each window for velocity and try a set of TDR reeds.mossbarger #800-891-1615.again just my 1 cents worth.
