this was a great video.  thanks for sharing.  lots of single track.  i could feel the frustration you must have felt following the bikes in front of you for awhile looking for an opening to motor past.   glad you found the opening.  looked like you were flying.  desert races around here are looking the same.  hard to find areas to pass and getting more technical like yours looked.

what area r u in? that was only my second race&only the third time i had rode in the desert. i like the racing,yes the single track can get fustrating sometime,but hey its all good,lots of fun

i am in rancho cucamonga ca.  i ride some of the district 37 races.  i race my ktm 300 but am in process of fixing up my k5 and may try it at some races once i get it fixed up.  i need to redo suspension .  i was saving it for the dunes but may try racing it.

next year im going to race district 36.  the k5 is great for the desert(and trail) racing sooooo much power. i am also redoing the suspention on my 89. new kayaba fron end(i had a standerd frontend before) im also replacing the rear linkage(shock is in good shape. penty of grease all the way around.new ruber and i should have a happy bike

My buddy lived in Reno and raced the Virginia City GP a few times.  Said he never saw so many rocks!!! Said its so much fun.  But brutal on bike and rider.   I'd like to try and register early for next years race.

so e(my budies&me) have been paningthis for awhile(the gp)but on of us ealy registared. we figured front or back ourtime will be the same(so come start in the bck of theack with us )ill bethe guy on the gren kx

My cousin lives in Reno yet.  He keeps trying to get me to drag up a dualsport and do a club ride every May.  Problem is I sold the KLR650 and KLX250.   Thinking of getting a TE610.
Not enough time or planning this year for the race up there.   Kind of want to try it next year on the KDX200.  Lighter bike and easier for me to pick up and drag when needed.
