Welcome aboard, its a very good site for 500's. Kelowna is about an hour or so drive from me (kamloops) in beautiful British Columbia Canada.

Welcome to this site. I too raced the kx500 "back in the day". '86 was my first new k5. What kind of riding do you do now?

I live 5 min away from a mountain range[POSTILL MTN] so lots of roads/trails to ride..i used to ride on a mx track exclusively with my friend who had a KX500 too  but the one here is closed down..[im 45yrs old now but still crazy and healthy to ride]Itested her out today with a clean filter and fresh gas-WHOA!!frikken WOW!! love the power but noticed it ran a lil funny...think they put on the GNARLY pipe without doing the jetting..i have the stock pipe as well  so i can run that one til i dial it in ..the streets are sorta icy so it added to the buzzz..that fellow from KAMLOOPS can tell me the jetting numbers cause my last bike [husky 510]was from there and was right on the money...so i will experiment and familiarize myself this week with the kx 500 and then i will clear a spot in the basement and strip her down and fix her up and stuff..this web site is great!!! now i dont have to spend hours on thumper talk LOL ..

Welcome to KxRiders! Use this chart and it will get you near perfect as far as jetting goes.

Zokair,
Welcome to the site. If you ever make it to Kamloops give me a call.  I can show you some killer areas to ride. Cam.
