Another Noob here ...

I just noticed the intro forum so thought I should put up a post. I've been lurking around the site for a couple months and it looks like some great folks and good info for the Green machines. Some of the names look familiar from both local sites as well as national ones, small world. :D

Not only new to this site, I'm new to the Green bikes in general with the recent purchase of a '03 KX5. I must admit, I'm quite pleased with it and it has to be, without a doubt, the best bang for the buck in a big bore bike. I'm still primarily a Honda Red Rider but the new Green bike sure has open my eyes and I plan on having a long term relationship with it (boy, this is starting to sound like a "singles add"   LOL!)

As an 36 year old Arizona native, I can usually be found on one of the many single track loops/trails somewhere in the state. For some insane reason, I seem to have a particular love of the Bradshaw Mountain single track areas in Northern Arizona. Although, I don't think I've met a single track trail I didn't like and Arizona seems to have a lot of them to offer. As far as racing, I'm not much into it anymore and really don't feel the desire to run any MX locally but some of the desert and enduro type races keep tugging at my shirt tail. I managed to most of the racing blood out of me in the 1990's with some pretty successful stock car racing.

Hope to meet up with some of you on the tails sometime soon! :D

Thanks for posting an introduction and i was a Red Rider at one time (CR500), I lost mine to a thief and my wife was good enough to replace it. I got a green machine becuase the guy at Town and Country was a bone head and she wasn't having any of that

For the riding i do, the green machine is a much better ride.

Hi AZsingletracker!

Welcome to the site...yeah...Arizona is good that way...lots of singletrack!
You'll probably run into us at some time or another out there...or at least monkeybutt if you're hitting the exceptionally difficult stuff! I try to keep up as best I can, but some stuff is just way too much for me...

See ya out on the trails!

Welcome aboard.

Hey Paul, do we need to start a Hondaphiles Anonymous thread?

Nice to hear about that Single Track.

I hope it's real Rocky and Challenging too?

I like the Rough stuff the best.  Often,  I have riden past Billy Goats that were stuck on the side of a Mountain Puking their guts out.
