I ride a 2000 KX500.

I don't have many mods.  Flywheel weight,  thicker headgasket,  jetting,  is all I really did to the motor.
I was overheating a little on this one long and slow speed climb and Pissing out some Cooliant,  so I added the RedLine WaterWetter and the problem stopped.  Never pissed any cooliant out again on that Climb.

I am from Southern California,  so I grew up riding Glamis and Ocotillo Wells and Anza Barrego,  Pismo,  Gorman,  Saddleback,  and the Mojave desert District 37 of course,  and I also Raced all the Moto tracks around LA and Orange county at night back in the early 80's.  OCIR,  Ascott,  Saddleback,  Corona.

Then I lived in Massachusetts for 5 years.  I would not recomend New England at all,  living there sucks.  The Motorcycling,  on and off road,  is fantastic though.  some of the best in the World I think,  it almost made enduring living there worth it.  I rode at Clough[Cluff] State park in New Hampshire,  Groton,  mass Town Forest,  Winchendon,  Mass.,  savoy,  Pittsfield,  Freetown Fallriver State Forest.  I never got to ride Miles Standish SP on the Beach.

I just went back up there and rode the trails again after three years,  the same weekend the ISDT event was held in the same spot,  Savoy,  Mass in the Birkshire Mountains near NY State.
The riding is still amazing,  and the place still sucks in general.

I live down in Virginia now,  for the last three years,  at the South Eastern corner in the Hampton Roads/Tidewater region.

Not much trail riding near me that I've found.  Only riding is a "Pay per ride" Moto Practice place in North Corolina that has a few tracks of verying abilities.
A fun place for a day at the most,  after that I'm looking for Trails.

I'm considering riding some of the Virginia Hare scrambles,  at least I'll find some trails and maybe meet some decent riders who know riding areas,  even if I have to drive hours and hours and hours and camp.  I have a camping trailer that also hauls bikes,  made in 1970 for Snowmobil camping up in Maine.  It's 14 foot ACE,  and has two big doors on back and another on the side,  the kitchen stuff is all along the front only so the rest is open to haul.  The table and bed is modular for convienene.
I have three bike chocks that clip in inside.

I've found this group helpfull from day one.  Buenos Noches......

Hi Benson...

Welcome to the site!  :D Me, I love the western US...plenty of wide open spaces and places to ride!
Hope you find something out there...or at least someone who can get you out on the trails again...
