New Guy
« on: August 19, 2008, 02:41:08 PM »
Hey great site ! I came across it by accident but glad I did. I have 3 kx500s 88,89,91. I do all my own work so all the tips and info are really helpfull. Alot of my questions have already been addresed, but I have lots more so I'll be picking your brains(kx500 riders have brains don't we?)
I live in DE(USA) and ride mainly Enduros and H/S on the eastcoast. I'm 53yrs old 6'5" 2XL so most of my bike mods are "BIG OLDGUY" and woods friendly.(kx500 in tight woods? brings up that brain thing again) On my 91
I run a flywheel weight, reedblock spacer, lowerd pegs, tall seat, ZYP TY tank pipe combo, WER stabilizer, Rev-Loc auto clutch plus lighting coil and enduro trim
My 88 was sleeved and bored to 525cc have not put it together yet but will soon , MY 89 is a parts donor for the other two.
I don't run into any kx500 riders around here so looking forword to hearing from you!

The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.
