Handlebars for tall riders

So the fat bars help reduce viberation? That would be a nice perk! I was looking at some standard 7/8'' aluminum bars in the CR High Bend or KX High Bend, because they are only like 28 bucks. I don't know all of the benifits of 1 1/8'' bars, but Rocky Mountain has a set of 1 1/8'' Tusk Longhorns for 30 bucks. Should I even be considering 7/8'' bars? I was also wondering whats the difference between KX High Bend and Cr High Bend, also cross bar or without a cross bar.
One last thing, How far can I raise my bars before I need longer cables?

Go with the fat bars and you don't want the cross bar. Thats how the fat bars help to reduce vibes and give you a plusher ride. The fat bars are designed to flex but don't be fooled they are way stronger then the 7/8 bars with a cross bar. As far as differences between the handlebars if you go to each of the handlebar manufacturers web site they give the specs on all of their bars as far as rise, width and bend.

I run Scotts steering stabilizer, bar cones and mount. The mount gives 1 inch rise. Protaper fat bars, Henry/Reed bend. I'm 6 ft. and feel like I could use 1 to 1 1/2 inch more rise.
Bar Mount Replacement Cones: If you have rubber mounting cones in your triple clamps, i.e. KDX, KX's, CR500's, have you ever noticed how your bars flex and mis-align easily............

6'5" I have the Protaper Pastrana ATV bars on BRP mounts. The Mounts are the largest ones you can get from BRP, set a little forward. I am going to put on a few big washers to get the desired height. The bars are decent, and the stock cables work like a champ, with a little bit more room to go up.

I am 6' 2.5" and run a set of CR (or RC) high bends. They work well.
