Every bike being sold has been freshly rebuilt. Like a car has always been garage kept and only driven by an ol' lady that just used it to go to the grocery store. I like to ask for their receipts for the rebuild to verify the dates. Don't sweat it now, man. If that is a different motor, the previous owner blew up the old one and didn't sell you that one. The best thing you have goin for you is two-strokes are easy to check everything. If it has stock piston and all that, top-end kits are pretty cheap considering the advantages to having fresh compression. Not to mention the confidence factor.
