Hey all.....I'm a newbie to the site
« on: December 26, 2007, 12:17:32 PM »
Hey all.....I'm a newbie to the site,

my name is walter, I am 43 years joung. I grow up into Swiss mountains.

I learned the occupation heating engineer/building plumber. Then I served like all in Swiss military. I worked then into different countries. In Copenhagen I married the first time. Now I am for the second time married, have two adults girls from first marriage and 3 children (7 -, 9 and 10 J.) from the new marriage. For over 20 years I based my own company. I acted antique building materials, then I produced toys and sold them to shops, later I startet to make old houses pretty and sell these to nice peoble.

The storry of my bikes:

I had my first motorcycle as I was 12 years old.

1976: Kreidler florett - with friends for motocross built - it was verry fast broken J !
The picture is only a simple!

1978: Mofa Eiger with Sachs engine 30ccm Bj. 61 -, by a Grandpa bought, often converted, to beginning looked it in such a way:

At the end the mofa looked then in such a way: The photo is from a journey over the mountains in Switzerland:

1982: Yamaha RD 125 LC ? bought as new, I worket for it many nights in a newspaper company, big large loving, nearly 60,000 km in two seasons thereby drove.

1984: Suzuki 550 GT - only passing, the motorcycle of the father - it never forgot.

1984: Kawasaki 1100 GPZ ? fun-fun-fun, many good days.

1986: Own company based, GPZ sold, married, children, divorced, many debts, day and night worked, again married, children, had luck and everything became good.

But after 17 years without motorcycle I noticed that somewhat important is missing to me. How could I be so for a long time without motorcycle?

2003: BMW K 1200 GT ? bought as new, it did well to me, but in Boznan on the racing course I found out, that the BMW-bike does not fit me well. 2004 sells.

2004: RD 500 - 20 years before I dreamed about it, finally I got it.

I found this bike in such a way nice, that I bought still one more from first hand.

2004: KX 500 ? my first KX, bought as crosser and converted to the Supermoto.

I went often as possible on the racing course. With each crash I became better ;-) .

a large love to the KX 500 startet. I observed the market. I wanted to have a better "weapon".

2005: KX 540 SM - irresistibly, a retired running motorcycle from prominent hand, very beautifully in top condition for 2.500, - - ?.

This KX 540 ist staying right now by Mike Melde. Tuning at the chassis on the most current conditions, engine is overhauled completely and receives also a new Tuning.

The situation with fascinating two stroke bikes pointed, when I was located eye in eye with the Bimota Vdue 500. Fortunately I had still the money of the sales of the BMW .

2005: Bimota Vdue 500 - meanwhile after lot of work on the engine she looks not only well, it makes realy realy big fun.

I have forgotten to report, that I found in 2004 in the cellar of neighbour a Kawasaki 750 H2 Bj. 72. The H2 had to be saved. I bought the rare "girl" in bad condition. I dit a completely restauration. I had to spend a lot of money for part and beer J
But everything was good, when the H2 was finisht.

2005: Kawasaki H2 750 Bj. 72 - restored - I always thought, a man must build a house, set a tree and witness a son. I had made everything and it was already fu?ing good, but the first ride (it does not have anything to do with driving) on the H2 revealed to me the fact, that a man also must has to have and rides  a Kawasaki 750 H2

But 2005 the total insanity culminated crazy idea was, to build an old tunet H2 engine in a Kawasaki ZXR 400. After two years and much beer the bike was finisht.

Kawasaki ZXR 400 with 3 Zyl. 800ccm two stroke H2 engine - good chassis, power engine!

2005: my woman could drive finally large Bikes. But in the first time she preferred to drive with my sweet Yamaha RD 125 LC.

2006: It was so far. I knew, what does well to my wife ;-) and I had already seen the beautiful original Honda NS400R.

2006: Honda NS 400R - not only well for women!

In spring 2007 I could buy equivalent two marvelous KX 500. Both bikes had to be still improved.

2007: KX 500 RR, SM, 500ccm engine in the 2002 KX 250 chassis - developed of the Jadoul Racing team from Belgium.  This summer brought the bike on the all newest conditions.

2007: KX 540 SM with road permission.

So, now you have my patient history.

It remains reporting only that I drive motocross since 2004. I property bought in October 2004 a KTM 450 SX Racing and start my training.

2006 I had my first cross-race, I had no chance - however beautiful experiences.
In spring 2007 the KTM was broken down. A Suzuki RM-Z 450 is my new cross-bike.

2007: much training, several regional races, still no chance, but many unforgettably beautiful days. Always with my is my KX 500 cross.

It is beautiful, that my family divides the passion with me. Woman and the children drive gladly with their Yamaha PW 50/80 and other Bikes.

Sorry for my English and thanks for reading this history.

Greetings from Berlin

Walter

welcome and very nice collection of bikes. have to love the rd's. i have rode the 125 rd 350 and 400rd's set up to drag race and a few of the 400 street bikes. but the rd 500 is the coolest of the bunch it's the sweetest. would live to rip the track up with that one . i did a 1163 kit on a gpz 1100 for a friend years ago same color . small back tire means lots of smoke . the 750 h2 seen a few never a chance to ride one . what a bike with the h2 motor in a new bike . how did it run ? thanks for sharing .
race gas is fast but Q16 hauls azz.i still ride because i am not ready to have been that fast. i ride a kx500 because they don't make a kx600!ck k5abuser on youtube

Nice post Walter,
In Canada we have many of the same bikes.  Me & a friend built an ice racer out of a 1972 750 H2 tripple. Fast but handled like death.  Was Lots of RZ500 around in their day but most are defunct by now. Welcome to the site. Cam.

Good morning :-)

thanks for the answers at all.

@ k5abuser: The ZXR with the H2 engine works much better, than I thought. I drive thereby on the racing course and on the road. This motorcycle is very very cool, very loud and it is easy to handle.

Many greetings from Berlin,

Walter
