Great post, I just went thru the trial and error process on my own and Arigato helped me to nail it down. This is very good info, considering how many motorcycle riders and parts vendors I asked about the issue. I wonder why none of he plastic mfg's are not moulding them up. Seems to be a demand for them!

Yesterday I had some free time and a new '93 rear fender laying around so I printed Sly's instructions out and started trimming.....30 min. later I was done with the fender and the seat! Even though this is the 3rd time I've done it, the instructions make up for a lot of trial and error. The seat mod is the bomb! Way to think outside the box Sly!

The tail pipe is the next for modifications.
Now that is cool, what was involved in getting the 250 plastics on? Take it you had to fabricate new mounting brackets on the frame?

wow just done the mod on my 500 makes the bike a hundred times better. but now the exhaust looks real out of place!! any ideas? neilios bike looks fat mate

Just did my 01 KX500 with the 93KX250 rear fender change,made the whole bike look different,it looks taller,Thanks guys for that
