Krazy about the KX
« on: November 21, 2006, 10:55:44 AM »
Hello all.  I am located in Central Pennsylvania.  I have had a variety of KX's including..............'85 KX80.......'88 KX125.......'89 KX250 and the bike I have presently.......'04 KX500.  I have a nice '85 Yamaha(sorry) IT200 and a pretty ratty '86 IT200.  I have always loved offroad riding and have raced in the past(district 6)motocross, making it to the "B" class.  I have also enjoyed riding at Tower City if any of you have heard of that.  Oh well, I'll be talking to u later............

Hello KX5E16, I too have an 04kx500 and really like that thing. I have a freind who has a ratty IT200 with a fresh engine in it, have you ever heard anything about transplanting the engine into a YZ125 ? If you have, personal message me with any information, as I really would like to help my friend put his good engine into a newer bike and dust off the other 125's.
I dont race yet but I do trail ride a lot. I thought I was fast, until this year when trail riding with a group of racers. I was impressed at just how fast some guys are.
Congrats on making it to "B' class, that should provide many good memories and enable you to fly by guys like me.LOL    John

That sounds like an interesting concept.............putting a 200cc engine into a 125 frame.  I haven't heard of doing that, but I bet it would be alot easier to ride.

Hey KX5E16, I'm from Central Pa also. I live in Bloomsburg, Where are you? I've been at Tower City but never rode there because I did'nt have the bike. Went to Rousch Creek though.
The torch has been passed; Father to Son. He is faster!!!

Yep, I live in Pennsylvania also, near Harrisburg.  I have ridden my Yamaha at Tower City and I have even rode at Rousch Creek.  Tower City can be especially rough on the equipment.
