Expandable Foam

<< < (2/2)

Johnniespeed:
I read on a Red Bike forum about the foam trapping moisture in the frame and causing
corosion problems.   Just something else to consider before trying this.

BigGreenMachine:
Arigato, thanks for the info. I have a chunk of that MONO foam I nabbed off the shed wall a few seconds ago. Its pretty solid and seems like it would absorb a lot of vibration.

I know my 250 Tecate (no counterballancer) would rattle my teeth when I rev'd it up but you wouldn't really notice it after a day of riding other then the fatigue from holding on. Hoping the foam kills a good bit of vibration.

demographic:
As a side note, I know that some grasstrack car racers use squirty foam in the doors, between the inner and outer wing and various other places to stiffen up the cars as they are not allowed to armour them.

I seem to remember someone rally prepping a car years ago and using some squirty foam to stiffen it up also.

BigGreenMachine:
Thats pretty cool. I'm gone to fill the Elantra's doors with foam, ttyl. LOL :-o
