has anyone put their KX500 on a dyno

<< < (4/4)

demographic:
Supposedly they chuck out a real, genuine 54-55 horse at the back wheel.

For some reason this is more than some manufacturers 60-70 horse though :-D

Maybe they are bigger horses or they are all pulling at the same time instead of some slacking off a bit in their traces.

doordie:
A dyno of a stock K5 with a tired engine (50 hours) of mine, only modified
to get torque (65.7Nm) wich it did more than I expected.
57 hp is?nt so impressive, but piston leaks blowby after that many hours.

It?s the same power/torque as a Husaberg 650 or a KTM 660 though :-D

Red line is wrong ?cause cool an sputtering engine
Blue is correct.

In a couple of weeks, new barrel and powertuned,
will we see some different numbers (60++).

BigGreenMachine:
57 is a pretty LARGE number compared to my 37 hp KXT250.  :-D

Can't wait until my 500 motor and parts arrive! ALready have the Vforce II reeds and reed spacer.
