has anyone put their KX500 on a dyno

<< < (3/4) > >>

Johnniespeed:
I have always figured that " Barstool horsepower" is double that of actual dyno horsepower.   I also think that if someone elses bike can beat my KX500 up a hill, the person deserves the respect of me asking just what he did to the engine. I have never yet heard of an aftermarket stroker crank, but if it exists, I would like to know more.
I have no sane reason to need more power from my KX, BUT......... maybe just a little more power.

There is no such thing as too much power!

The only larger displacement i know of for the KX5 is the 540 big bore kit from L.A. sleeve, but i would not want to re-sleeve and loose the ability to transfer heat. I run my bike too hard as it is.

FuriouSly:
Yo...  Arigato!  What do you think my KX5 is putting out for HP?  It sure feels strong yet smooth.

I would say mid to upper 60's...Especially at Dumont.
